I realize I haven't updated my journal here in a long time. D:

Pity, really.


Not a lot has happened, though. I'm trying to get into college, but that's apparently a very touchy subject with my parents. Mom doesn't agree entirely with my choice, since she doesn't see how I can 'make a lot of money' doing graphic design. Dad's not too keen on school, either, he's more determined to make me get a job- most likely one that can 'ay for me going to school'- which is just saying I'd learn something other than graphic design, since all he's suggested is working at a hospital. And I certainly do not want to be a nurse. :\

But since all my schooling will be paid via grants or loans, I don't see why they should care (since I know for a fact they haven't saved a dime for me to go to school, as much as they've 'demanded' I go to college and all their griping and complaining about it in the first place). I want to go to Pennsylvania.

Hell. Mom can deal with me moving so far away. Few hundred bucks, one plane ride, and look. We're united again.

I need to get out anyways (that's one thing I agree with when it comes to dad), I do need to get out. Away.

Away from home, and my family, and the drama my parents cause over silly things like me drawing all the time and having work that lets out during the summer.

Shit. I don't need a job, so I don't see why I have to go get one. I have nothing to pay for, save gas and my own car insurance, and so far I can attend to that pretty darn easily. Other than dad saying, "it'll get you new friends (or a boyfriend)", there's no other reason save 'going to play'.


Working... isn't playing.


Idk, I don't understand him.
But then... he's likely drunk. Oh well.



Aside from that, I plan to run off for a few weeks, to play with some friends and be me for a bit, without someone hounding me for it. I'm excited, and all these problems can wait their happy asses until I'm back and happy.

And dammit. I wish I knew what to say to the college interview guy.
"What got you into graphic design?"
"...... uh...."

I swear. It's awkward trying to explain something so simple.


Anyways.
